A Successful Start to Our Innovation Lab at the University of Primorska

On February 18, 2025, the Innovation Lab was proudly launched at the University of Primorska, an event made possible through the collaboration of the University of Primorska, University of Florence, University of Genoa, ART-ER and FederlegnoArredo. The first day of the event featured an enriching program focused on the use of wood in construction. Key topics included the design of timber buildings, moisture control, wooden facades, and the growing role of engineered wood products in modern construction.

Participants were also given the exclusive opportunity to visit the InnoRenew CoE laboratories in Izola, Slovenia. The tour offered a firsthand look at the cutting-edge research being conducted on wooden materials and structures, showcasing the latest innovations in the field.

The second day, February 19,  delved deeper into the practical applications of timber technology, particularly focusing on the production CLT. A highlight of this session was a visit to Stilles d.o.o., a local company known for its expertise in CLT production. Here, participants were able to gain insights into advanced manufacturing processes and the rigorous quality control measures that meet European standards.
