As the first step of the LIFE BE-WoodEN project, University of Genoa, University of Florence, and ART-ER Società Consortile per Azioni constitute a New European Bauhaus Academy (NEB) Pioneer Hub focused on the development of wood and bio-based as construction materials called NEB SUD Hub - NEB SUstainable Design with wood & Bio-based materials Hub. The signing of the Pioneer NEB SUD HUB Charter supports the implementation of NEB compass along the whole project, sharing synergies and integrated approaches with NEBAP Hub The New European Bauhaus Academy Pioneer Hub for Sustainable Built Environments with Renewable Materials, founded by University of Primorska.
Activities of the NEB SUD Hub are carried out in the following areas:
- university, post-graduate and extra-university training (technical and professional training, lifelong learning for members of professional associations) on issues related to environmental sustainability, in line with the principles of the New European Bauhaus;
- research on issues of green, digital and inclusive transition, linking projects with local communities and institutions and connecting local actions with the European and international context;
- communication, dissemination, and networking.
